Skills Offered: Understanding of the court system, leadership development, public speaking, and hands-on experience serving as a lawyer, judge, and/or jury member in sentencing hearings for youth who have been charged with misdemeanor offenses.

Targeted to: Ages 18+
Skills Offered: Earn your CDL while working, earning, and serving your community full-time in the ACCGov Public Utilities, Solid Waste, Transit or Transportation & Public Works Departments. Timeframes vary and may also include training in safety, customer service including serving people with disabilities, paratransit, driver awareness, conflict resolution, drug & alcohol-related.

Targeted to: Ages 18+
Skills Offered: Full time paid training, including Basic Jail Certification Course and earning and maintaining certification for the Georgia Mandate Law Enforcement Training Act/Peace Officer’s Standards and Training (POST) Act.

Skills Offered: Understanding of the criminal justice system, principles of law enforcement, the correctional system, and career opportunities available in the field.

Targeted to: Ages 18+
Skills Offered: Knowledge base to pursue opportunities within criminal justice, law enforcement, courts, and correctional agencies.

Upon hire, various ACCGov Departments offer training opportunities including Police, Fire, Sheriff’s Office, Corrections, CDL positions, Public Utilities, Public Works, Transit, and Solid Waste.

Skills offered: Classroom/lab knowledge and hands-on clinical skills including medical terminology, structure and function of the human body, and emergency medical response to help you become knowledgeable in the pre-hospital care environment and in issues related to patient care in both in-hospital and out-of-hospital circumstances.

Targeted to: Ages 18+
Skills offered: The knowledge, hands-on skills, and behaviors to serve as an Emergency Medical Technician, and/or Emergency Medical Responder.

Targeted to: Ages 18+
Skills Offered: Develop hands-on and technical skills to keep your community safe with paid training in firefighting (certification), safely handling hazardous materials, and as an emergency medical technician (license).
